Privacy Notice
Last updated: 2026-07-22
StackCompass is a small, US-based affiliate comparison site. This notice explains, in plain language, what little data this site may collect and why. It is written for a US-first audience; if you're visiting from elsewhere, the same practices apply unless noted.
What we may collect
If basic web analytics are enabled on this site, they may record aggregate, non-identifying information such as:
- Which pages were viewed and roughly how long a page was open
- General device/browser type and approximate (city/region-level, not precise) location inferred from IP address
- Which internal link or button was clicked, including
/go/affiliate links, so we can tell which recommendations are useful - Referring site or search term that led to a page, where available
What we do not collect
- No account creation, login, or user profiles
- No payment or financial information — we never process a purchase; sign-ups happen on the vendor's own site
- No sensitive categories of data (health, financial account numbers, government ID numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data)
- No sale of personal information to third parties
Cookies and local storage
If analytics are active, they may use standard, first- or third-party analytics cookies to distinguish repeat visits in aggregate. The recommender quiz on this site does not use cookies, localStorage, or sessionStorage — your answers exist only in the page's memory while it's open and are discarded when you leave or reload.
Affiliate links
Outbound links to marketing-tool vendors are internal /go/<program>/ pages that may pass you to that vendor's own affiliate-tracking link. Once you leave this site, the vendor's own privacy policy governs any data they collect. See our disclosure page for how affiliate links work here.
Your choices / opt-out
- You can use standard browser settings (cookie blocking, "Do Not Track," tracking-protection extensions) to limit analytics collection on this site.
- If a specific analytics opt-out link is offered by our analytics provider, it will be linked here: analytics opt-out link — add before publish.
- To ask what data (if any) we hold about you, or to request deletion, contact: privacy contact address — add before publish.

If this notice changes materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
